Sometimes game become very laggy

When I’m on gaming (It’s Wuthering Waves), sometimes the whole desktop and game (or just the game) become very laggy, and what I mean laggy is like turning down your refresh rate below 60hz (prob around 20hz-30hz). I need to relaunch the game in order to fix this issue.

Is this issue relate to Gnome (or maybe its shell because it consumes GPU? idk)? If that so then I think I will move to KDE but I don’t like Qt either, idk.

My PC specification
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
GPU: AMD RX 580 4GB / mesa-filesystem-26.0.8-1.fc44.x86_64
RAM: 16GB
OS: Fedora 44 Workstation
Game: Wuthering Waves (It runs with DW-Proton 10.0-26 to avoid anti-cheat but already tried with other proton and the result is same)
Game launch arguments:

SteamOS=1 PROTON_USE_NTSYNC=0 gamescope -w 1600 -h 900 -W 1920 -H 1080 -f -F fsr -- %command% -dx11 -SkipSplash

Note:
I know my GPU is pretty old for this game but hey I can run it smoothly at 60 fps (except the new regions, that’s game optimization issue) but sometimes it’s just laggy like this… Now if you ask is this happen only on Wuthering Waves? Then yes because my other games is pretty lightweight and I only had this game that very draining my GPU (more specific its VRAM I think). Also this issue didn’t happen on WIndows, for other DE I didn’t try it yet.

I have the same problem since i upgraded to F44 the games i run via proton have a very bad performance. This is so sad :frowning:

the problem in my case was tuxedo stuff i removed all tuxedo packages and now its fine again ^^
