most of the notification pop up and disappear after 3 seconds or so, indicated by the the line in the top of the notification
but some just stay on the screen until i close them manually.
like freedownloadmanager notification, there is no blue line.
Sounds like the application is sending the notification as Critical. You could look at the application’s settings to see whether it allows you to change this.
this the only notification settings i found in fdm.
in system settings i found this it only allows to change the duration for all notifications.
the option “keep pop up open during progress” doesnt change anything.
in the top right there are individual application settings but fdm doesnt seem to in the list.
Correct, if it’s a critical notification then there’s no timer, so no progress.
Perhaps you want to ask the application developer to make the notification severity configurable, so that users could choose to make it non-critical.
