Soft phone solutions? sip/voip

Dear all,

the last two days I spent many hours searching for a way to use my computer as a softphone that interacts with my local fritzbox router, and registers itself there…

I found plenty of non-workable software, with which I did not even manage to register. The best solution was pjsua (part of pjsip), but this seems to be compiled without audio libraries, so it can register, but I cannot talk.

Gnome calls should work - but does not.

So, I wonder: which sip solutions do exist for Fedora?

Cheers - and happy festive season!

I use Download - Linphone

Works fine.

thanks a lot, did work for me with username@ip-number-of-fritz-box and UDP.

Cheers!

Dear Ingmar,
I just try to connect via Linphone to the 5590 Fritzbox. Linphone is installed under F43. On the FritzBox I already defined a phone with a LAN connection and now have:
Registrar
Username
Password

After having started Linphone it asks for ‘username’ and password to connect. Would you please explain the syntax for the ‘username’ that seems to be a combination of ‘Registrar’ and ‘username’? You also mention ‘UDP’…where to set that parameter?

Thank you in advance
Jochen
