Since Updates, My Ethernet Doesn’t Automatically Connect Anymore

Yesterday, the system showed me that I had new updates. I installed them and afterwards restarted my PC. After the restart, I got an error message that my installation wasn’t installed correctly. I tried again and the message went away. Since then, my Ethernet doesn’t automatically connect when I start my PC I have to manually click on the network icon and click on connect. I have no idea how to fix that. Under settings, I already have “automatically connect to network” enabled. I am on KDE. p.s.: i am very new to linux

Which fedora release are you using? f43 or f44?

How was the update done? Using the gui software tool (discover? or ?) or by command line using dnf?

Are you using wifi or wired ethernet?
You should be able to tell the system to forget the current connection then reconnect which will create a new connection config file and should restore the automatic connections.

I am on f44, i used discover to update. I use wired ethernet.

Okey thanks will see if i can fix it.

I did not fix it. I have my VPN also set up so that when I connect to the internet, it also gets connected to my VPN. But it doesn’t connect to the internet on startup I still have to click on the network symbol in the taskbar and then on ‘Connect.’ Any ideas how to fix it? I also used Gemini and ChatGPT to fix the issue, but they couldn’t fix it either. Is my only option to reset my network settings?
