Since recent update Thunderbird lost inline PDF viewer?

Hi,

Since my most recent update, Thunderbird no longer shows PDF attachments in tabs, and I cannot choose any other option than “always ask” in the settings. Is this intentional to require an external viewer or a regression?

I have tested, and when I click on the PDF in the mail in the inbox, I can right click on the file name and “Open” which opens in a new tab.

Thanks for taking your time - I tried again with other attachments and they work as expected. Must be a quirk with the specific PDF (though it opens fine in Firefox). All good :+1:
