Should I expect delta rpms to bring any savings?

Pretty much every time I run an upgrade I get a result like:

Delta RPMs reduced 730.2 MB of updates to 729.5 MB (0.1% saved)

Is this delta rpms solution just not working well, or should I expect bigger savings and it’s something wrong with my setup?

I’d say it’s working as it should.When we have updates it only downloads the changes in the system and not the whole system.

It really just depends on what packages you have installed. Sometimes you’ll get savings, sometimes you won’t. I tend to update once every week or so, and then with large numbers of updates I tend to notice reductions.

If you have enough networking bandwidth, you can turn them off too.
