In theory, These CPU’s can run Debian which still uses v1/v2 outside of running a Gentoo/Arch build from scratch. I have those old architectures, with a ton of memory, but for today’s applications and updates, they are just not cut out for it. I have upgraded people to Zen (gen 1 & 2) processors and the performance is very noticeable. The Phenom’s going to be phased out soon leqving you with having to compile things on your own. It’s doable, but requires more tinkering.
