A few days ago I tried to install and use droidcam since my laptop doesn’t have one. I followed the steps from this site. After I was done I restarted the computer and everything seemed to be broken:
-the bootloader showed up instead of just rebooting as normal
-my headset was not getting recognized and a dummy device showed up in the sound settings
-my second monitor was not getting any signal
-my built in screen’s refresh rate went from 144 to 60Hz and I cannot change it in the settings
-desktop animations were gone so every app-switch is instant (I guess this can be fixed but it is weird how it changed out of nowhere)
-fans are working more and with higher power than before
-a lot less options were showing up on the quick settings menu(or the system tray idk)
all these symptoms are still showing up right now. I don’t know how to fix this since I am still new to linux. I would immensely appreciate any help toward fixing this problem
