Two questions: Is there a way to set the hostname during the initial install of Fedora 43 (KDE spin in my case) like there was in the old installer? Is there a way to set the new account’s UID/GID during the initial install of Fedora 43 like there was in the old installer?
I used both of these options previously, but they don’t appear to be present in the new installer. The latter is the more painful for me because all of my Fedora systems share the same user with the same UID and permissions can be a PITA when the UIDs differ. Now that I can’t set the UID I have to create a 2nd account with appropriate sudo permissions (edit: or login as root), change the user’s UID/GID, chown the home directory, then remove the temporary account. It was a lot cleaner when I could set the UID/GID before the installation.
