Set default to headphone in settings=>sound=>gui fails

I can only get the headphones to work with;

wpctl status  // to get the sink id
wpctl set-default (some #id)

pipewire-0:1.6.5-1 did not help. Is there a way to reset pipewire/pulseaudio to the f44 install?
