My secondary monitor has starts up with a huge black patch after updating to KDE 6.7. Removing the ksreen config followed by restarting helps (some times). Has anyone else run into this issue? If so, how have you permanently resolved it?
This issue happens for both Wayland and X11. I don’t think its a kernel issue since my NVIDIA drivers build and load cleanly for the running kernel.
I am running:
- Fedora 44, KDE Plasma 6.7, kernal
7.0.13-200.fc44.x86_64
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3070TI, driver 595.80 (
akmod-nvidia)
- Monitors: AOC 24G1WG4 (DisplayPort, primary) + Acer R240HY (HDMI, secondary)
This looks like a 1920x1080 image in a 4k monitor.
Have you tried setting the monitor resolution?
In the Display & Configuration settings? The monitor in question supports 1920x10780.
I typically don’t have any issues after running rm -rf ~/.local/share/kscreen/, logging out, and logging back in.
Please show (as preformatted text that you copy&paste) the output of inxi -Fzxx. It may be necessary to install inxi.
