Screenshot Utility Does Not Appear to Work for "Selection" Option in Fedora 43

Is anyone else having issues with the Screenshot utility in Fedora 43? I use it a lot to take screen shots of a part of my screen. This option is the rightmost, “Selection” option in the Screenshot utility. Actually, the utility in Fedora 43 does not act right from the launch (or at least very different from the Fedora 42 version). In Fedora 43, for me, the crosshair cursor comes up as soon as the utility is launched (which is what used to come up after selecting “Selection”). I struggled with it for a few minutes and gave up trying to use it, settling for Alt-PrtScr.

You will have to say which desktop you are on, as there are multiple Fedora desktops and screenshot programs.

I am on the Workstation edition and for me I press the printscreen button to open the screenshot app, select the ‘selection’ or ‘window’ or ‘full screen’ button to select the area that I want and press enter to complete the snapshot. This is using the default gnome screenshot app.

Oh, sorry. I am on the Workstation edition. The app just calls itself “Screenshot”. Not sure if I’m fully answering your question? I’m a Linux newbie and new to the forum.
