Screen goes black after system wakes up from sleep

The screen goes black after waking up from sleep. I suspect something is wrong with xdg-desktop-portal-kde. Here are a few related logs:

When I do Ctrl+C on the blank screen, i get prompted with the login manager and the system works. However in that specific login I cannot use the GUI buttons of kde to poweroff,restart or sleep . I need to do it via the terminal.
