Screen distortion on load

I have tried both Fedora + KDE Plasma and Kinoite and, either side of the login screen I get what I can only describe as an “out-of-sync” rendering of the UI: streaks across the screen as the system loads. it’s momentary, but unwelcome, and without consequence for the rest of the boot process.
