Safe to update some pkgs to F41 from F40 without upgrading?

I updated Firefox for F40 to Firefox version on F41. So I know it’s possible.

The big question is, is it safe to update ANY packages this way without upgrading the entire system? Seems like should be a totally normal thing to do because updated packages bring in all their dependencies, but maybe this is some sort of a problem because of some system packages/settings since things change between Fedora releases.

No one will have tested that it works. So no, it is not safe.

More importantly, are you aware that F40 is EOL? No updates or security patches since last Tue.
