RPM fusion - how realible it is?

so… for linux machine i`m ubuntu user but i still consider fedora as a backup for my second laptop if ubuntu does something unforgivable because i love linux even if this one is not my main one. The biggest downfall of my backup plan as ukranian - cisco geo block seems to be resolved. But my secong big question - i know fedora needs rpm fusion for pretty much everything and this scares me as hell
Be brutally honest -RPM fusion - how realible it is?
And i thank you for your brutal honesty in advance

I don’t use RPM Fusion at all and the only time I missed it is when trying to watch a video on Twitch. But using a flatpak web browser fixes that problem as well. So for me, it is not needed at all.

I checked all applications that Fusion repo provides and none of them relate to any work I do on Fedora. So my advice is to check them and see for yourself if any of them are necessary for you. You can find all that Fusion repo offers here.

Define reliable?

FTR rpmfusion is run by fedora packagers and follow the same packaging standard as fedora.

It’s a lot safer than any of the ubuntu PPA trash.

As Leigh said it’s maintained by Fedora maitainers and follows Fedora policies.

The reason, as I understand it, is that packages are not in the main Fedora repos is that they have , mainly, licensing or patent issues with Fedora policies.

I have been using RPMfusion packages for 10+ years without issue.

It’s a fantastic resource.

I agree with both the above comments.
