Article Summary:
Announcing forthcoming change to Kubernetes rpms in rawhide

The article describes a significant change in the way Kubernetes is packaged and released in Fedora. Starting with Fedora 41 (currently rawhide), all versions of Kubernetes will be available as versioned rpms - that is kubernetes1.30, kubernetes1.29, and kubernetes1.27 rpms will be available in addition to the existing kubernetes rpm set (which is version 1.29).

Hi @buckaroogeek, thank you for submitting the article! We discussed this at today’s CommBlog editor roundtable meeting. We agreed that the article is a good idea, although we think that because it has wider implications for system administrators running their own k8s clusters, this may be a better fit for the Fedora Magazine.

@glb @rlengland What do y’all think? Is this something we could send to the Magazine?

+1 for running this article in Fedora Magazine.

Good morning

Either route works for me. If in the magazine I will expand with a few other changes and go into a bit more detail.

@buckaroogeek +1 from me.

I’ve created Pagure card #297 to track your article through the publication process for the Fedora Magazine.

We use the card for process tracking and communications between authors and editors. When you have your article in the Fedora Magazine Wordpress instance, please leave a comments with a WP preview link on this card and the editors will review/edit it.

Any suggestions for featured image is appreciated :slight_smile: The editors can create the image for you.
