Reverting the Dash to how it was in F40?

GNOME 47 makes the Dash huge on my 1366*768 display. It’s distracting and makes me less productive. How can I change it back to the smaller size used in GNOME 46?

Added f41

(thanks for the tag update :>)

What dash? You mean the hyphen character or something else?
Where is it shown?

The Dash is the dock-like area in the bottom of the Overview that shows your open apps.

I think it’s the scale-monitor-framebuffer setting, which is now enabled by default. Try disabling it:

$ gsettings set org.gnome.mutter experimental-features []

Reset to default:

$ gsettings reset org.gnome.mutter experimental-features

Print current value:

$ gsettings get org.gnome.mutter experimental-features
['scale-monitor-framebuffer', 'xwayland-native-scaling']

Er, I think I might have accidentally marked my comment as the green Solution? Or somebody else did? But I’m just guessing. I’m curious if that fixes it for you.

I unchecked that for you.

I marked that.

I am also missing a Discourse feature that would tell which user marked a post as Solution, for the same reason. On mobile that button is too close to the Reaction button.

As far as I see you have TL2 and no mod rights, so it should be not possible that you set a solution in another user’s topic but only in your own topics.

If you can click it, you also can always unclick it :classic_smiley: However, for a feature request you might open a new topic :wink:
