How do I restart bluetooth without keyboard. I have access to the mouse. Normally I just hard reset Fedora and keep on going but that can hardly be the solution.
You’re on KDE right? You should be able to add an entry to the Application Launcher to run whatever command restarts Bluetooth.
Right-click on the launcher, click “Edit Applications”, then “New”, and you can create the entry.
Then you’ll have a clickable item in the launcher that you can invoke without the keyboard.
Thanks. That sounds exactly what I would like to do. What is the command to restart BT?
Hmm - I think systemctl restart bluetooth should work. However, by default that’s going to ask for your admin password, which is not very helpful in this scenario.
You could probably work around this by writing a polkit rule so that the admin password is not required for this, but sorry I don’t know this well enough to give you a ready-made answer.
Stepping back for a moment - I assume that just toggling “Enable Bluetooth” on and off from the system tray icon isn’t enough to get your keyboard working?
