After updating from FD43 to FD44 all seemed to be running o/k. On booting it still shows the rescue kernel as FD43 even after running sudo rm -f /boot/*-rescue-*. Looking in the Boot Directory it just shows the FD44 kernel and 2x FD43 kernels but no rescue kernel. Any Ideas

Just updated to the latest kernel and all now o/k it updated to the correct version of the rescue kernel.

You removed the kernel itself, not the corresponding loader definition in /boot/loader/entries/*.conf, that’s why Grub is still showing it. (Do not rm files in there!)
