She who must be obeyed has demanded my RTX 2080 to be installed into her PC to replace her ageing 980.
An AMD RX7900XTX has been procured to replace it, and thus when it arrives and is installed, I presume I won’t need to futz with any of my existing kernel parameters (rhgb quiet mitigations=off rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau,nova_core modprobe.blacklist=nouveau,nova_core) to persuade it to boot, as the Nv card won’t be found, so nothing will be loaded for it and the AMD drivers are in the kernel?
It should (in theory) boot up and I can then remove all traces of the RPM fusion drivers and remove those repos from dnf.
Any requirements to run dracut --rebuild --force for everything?
Anything I’ve failed to consider that is blindingly obvious to you?
