Refresh rate issues with external monitor

Hello!

I use a 144 Hz external monitor, but everything except the cursor looks like it’s 60 Hz.
I have an Optimus laptop (Intel iGPU and NVIDIA dGPU) running Fedora 41KDE (Wayland)

What I’ve already tried:

  • Switching to GNOME
  • Downgrading drivers to 560
  • Using dGPU only mode using EnvyControl

Unfortunately, no success. How can I fix this issue?

What connectors are you using for the monitor hdmi or display port? Do you use a docking station?

Do you have FreeSync enabled in the monitor? If so, the framerate will be variable in sync with the GPU.
