Recent upgrade causes any application to freeze when opening the app dialog

I’m on Fedora 32, just updated.

Any application (gedit, Geary, Firefox, Chromium) cannot open a dialog to open a file, attach a file, etc.
The application freezes and I have to force quit.

NOTE: this doesn’t happen with flatpak applications. So it’s obviously some broken system library.

In dnf history the culprits are probably:

Upgrade  gnome-shell-3.36.4-1.fc32.x86_64               @updates
Upgraded gnome-shell-3.36.3-3.fc32.x86_64               @@System

Upgrade  mutter-3.36.4-1.fc32.x86_64                    @updates
Upgraded mutter-3.36.3-4.fc32.x86_64                    @@System

I’ll try to downgrade them.

I downgraded mutter and the problem disappeared.

Can anybody reproduce this bug?
Should I report the issue to Red Hat bugtracker or upstream?

Can’t reproduce with gedit here:

$ rpm -q gnome-shell gedit
gnome-shell-3.36.4-1.fc32.x86_64
gedit-3.36.2-1.fc32.x86_64

Can’t reproduce it on my laptop. Tomorrow I’ll try to figure out what might be wrong on my desktop computer.
