I’ve been having an issue with my audio (Macbook Pro 16 inch, M1 Pro 2020) since installing fedora asahi remix about a month ago. My audio pops randomly, sometimes more often when I have a lot of programs running but it’s not consistent. It’s not just when the audio starts and stops, which I saw there’s an issue with pipewire maybe regarding that?
I’ve tried running asahi-diagnose, and I get “- Required speaker codec settings are not being applied.” as an error. I ran through all the troubleshooting fixes on the page liked under the error (Undoing Early Speaker Hacks - Asahi Linux Documentation) but nothing removed the error or fixed the issue. I’ve kinda stalled out in trying to figure out what’s wrong, does anyone have any ideas?
For more info: This is my first time dual booting this mac (and my first time using asahi), I installed easyeffects a bit ago to try and match the audio profile closer to apple’s tuning for these speakers but I can’t remember if the popping started before or after that (and uninstalling easyeffects doesn’t help)
