Hi there! Since an upgrade in early march, I can no longer start Fedora 41 with my old Radeon R7 260X GPU. I was hoping for the new beta, but the GPU seems not supported there (yet?). The system boots up, but I’m stuck with a completly blank black screen as soon as the system tries to start the Gnome Display Manager. Booting Fedora 42 Beta in save graphics mode works fine. For the time being I’m back to Fedora 40, and all works like a charm. There are (quite old) rpm driver packages available at the AMD homepage, but before I start messing around with those, I just wanted to ask: Does someone know more about that issue or even could give me a more suitable hint on a possible fix? Any informations on this topic are very welcome!
On the current Fedora 40, lspci yields the following (which basically is what I wrote above):
lspci -n -n -k | grep -A 2 -e VGA -e 3D
