Radeon HD 4250: how to get 2560 x 1440 resolution

Hello,
I’ve a new monitor (Philips E 275E2) and I want to use 2560 x 1440 .
My graphic card supports 25601600 @60Hz on DVI-D port.
I’m stuck on 1980x1080 :

What you posted shows 2 modes for that resolution, and DTD 1 is the preferred. All you should need to do is use xrandr to set the corresponding values. This all supposes the driver for the card supports it. You said the card is supposed to support that, but does the driver?
