[Question] Trying to pass OPSWAT validation

Trying to meet OPSWAT validation check, required to use my home device for work.

Trying to pass this point

Dandified Yum

Auto-update setting is not turned on.

    Turn on auto-update.

RPM Package Manager

Auto-update setting is not turned on.

    Turn on auto-update.

I’ve tried installing dnf-autoupdate, following a similar topic - Autoupdate don't work in Fedora KDE - #2 by nathan95

Not sure if /etc/dnf/automatic.conf should have existed after installing dnf-autoupdate, I created it and inserted the config from that topic. The relevant timer is enabled and seems to be working.

Any ideas?

May it be somehow related to me running KDE?

Still can’t pass that validation.

UPD: no, wait, I think it refreshed.

Now I’m only getting the `

Lock screen timeout check is not supported on this operating system.

`
which was a “recommendation” a minute ago

UPD2: one minute I get the DNF/RPM, the second I don’t, the third (goto first)

Alright, This one’s on me.

Just figured out (with help of IT) that OPSWAT has a static timer for performing scans (while I was just bashing the “retry” button).

It would seem that the original dnf-automatic is what OPSWAT was looking for (dnf, however, does forward it to dnf5, but still the config and timer).

Now for the final boss. I think it’s KDE, but still need to figure it out…

Lock screen timeout check is not supported on this operating system.

Any ideas?

UPD: spoke with several admins from my company, which said that KDE is simply not supported, and they failed at passing this point.

Well. Guess I’m installing XFce(later Gnome. And later give up and install corporate Ubuntu) to see where it leads me.
