I was doing some searching with Copilot on how to add printer support to COSMIC Atomic. It told me about using localhost:631 to manage the CUPS interface. To my surprise, I discovered that my printer was already added and available, and that printing works.
I stumbled on this by pure chance. Can I make a suggestion that printer management be added to COSMIC Settings so that its much easier to find?
The Cosmic desktop is developed by System76 and it is still relatively new (at least the rewrite). There is a chance that this is still coming. If not, I think the suggestion would better be addressed there, since Fedora is only packaging it, not developing it.
Disregard previous. I was looking in COSMIC Settings for printer management, but I missed the separate application that was in a folder called “System.”
