Howdy provides Windows Hello™ style authentication for Linux. Use your built-in IR emitters and camera in combination with facial recognition to prove who you are.

It is probably good to note that I got this working partially in gdm by running the following:

ausearch -c 'python3' --raw | audit2allow -M my-python3
semodule -X 300 -i my-python3.pp

and adding the following to /etc/pam.d/gdm-password, I get a timeout error on first login, but am able to unlock my system using howdy once I have logged in using my password.

auth sufficient /lib64/security/howdy/
