Prepared update not found when trying to upgrade to Fedora 41

I get this error when trying to upgrade graphically to Fedora 41 through Gnome Software: Prepared update not found : /var/lib/PackageKit/prepared-upgrade

How can I solve the issue?

That folder is created temporarily before the upgrade process.

Is your system up to date? I assume you have followed the instructions from here, including the steps. If not, please try to follow the instructions and check if you still encounter that message.

After retrying several times (“re-download” the upgrade and retry), and also while trying to debug gnome-software, the issue miraculously disappeared. Upgrade went smoothly
