That is not what I said. I try it in other words then.
It is good that the OP stopped to arguing with the KDE users which would like to change our schedule and just ignore everyone who speaks against. She stated that she came from Arch Linux and she went away because of:
(Please note, this is in the first request, everyone who was reading with attention should have known that a Fedora wide problem with such explosive context not belongs into a section from a SIG or WG. It is something what is from interest of everyone in the community)
I’m certain that the KDE team will fix all these issues in 6.6.1 but this guinea pig feeling is the reason I left Arch Linux for a more stable experience.
So please, stop updating to major KDE Plasma releases without waiting for the next Fedora version. That way we can actually wait in the current version while the next one gets ironed out.
She also asked if this is the right place (without the question mark):
Hi this is my first thread here so fortunately this is the right place to ask this.
Nobody told that this might be better asked in the ASK section or in The Water Cooler. To hear pro and contra. Now mostly Pro KDE answered and told here to leave. While the real question was “Is the Fedora Release model still valid and can we count on it?”
@koko927 just to mention again the discussion section is more for users which belong to this work-groups and SIG’s. You would probably got a better start in the Ask Fedora section. While even Moderators and Fesco members answered you, nobody really was Addressing that, and asked the right questions to get you a good start in Fedora.
I can report a similar treatment I got. I was asking why we not can better control the regressions from the kernel, an I also would appreciate having at least the old stable like F42 untouched. Same answer you better take what you get or move on.
That is also what attracted me most. However the tendency to simply-fie and tell the user you might be better on a other distribution, should not even been taken in consideration, when a new user appears and very clearly states what the preoccupations and reasons are, moving to fedora.
This topic would not have escalated, when from beginning someone would have showed real interest to help the user.
Sorry, when this is touching you (I am not sure what exactly was “tearing” langauge ). I got touched when reading the first request and seeing that so many TL3/4 ink. Moderators are commenting and nobody sees a necessity to interfere. You also have the ability to move a topic or putting to slow mode … or what ever to give a better community experience. This makes part of the responsibilities we have TL3+.
Thanks for that.
