Please help. F43 Kinoite cannot update for months now

Please help me. I have tried updating my Kinoite for months now thinking it was not on my side but it is long overdue. I tried various suggestions on here like
sudo rpm-ostree cleanup --repomd.

I keep getting this error even after removing all third party repos

I am not sure why the dates look so old for repos where it says generated. Nothing I tried like clearing cache makes them get newer dates. maybe that is the issue?

sudo dnf in google-noto-color-emoji-fonts

Does not make any harm I hope.

No dnf in Kinoite, it uses rpm-ostree. But thanks

My mind may be fuzzy but on Kinote I think this should work:

sudo rpm-ostree install notocoloremoji-fonts

Have you tried running rpm-ostree reset, rebooting and running the update again?

rpm-ostree install google-noto-color-emoji-fonts
error: "google-noto-color-emoji-fonts" is already provided by: google-noto-color-emoji-fonts-20250623-2.fc43.noarch. Use --allow-inactive to explicitly require it.

rpm-ostree install google-noto-color-emoji-fonts --allow-inactive
Inactive base removals:

That is my suggestion and not google-noto-color-emoji-fonts :wink:

Atomic desktop user here (Fedora Silverblue).

Can you provide the output of rpm-ostree status?

Which repos were these and how did you remove them? Were there (are there still) any packages layered from the now removed repos?

That’s fine. The repos that receive updates have up-to-date metadata.
