It’s that time of the release when Final freeze is about to happen and we are waiting for pesky bugs to get squashed before we go ahead and run test week for GNOME.
I would like to get a slot on either tomorrow or day after for KDE test week which starts 31st March through 7th April. We will have 2nd as Upgrade test day. 4th for virtualization test day.
I am yet to hear back from GNOME folks.
Please tell me if I have to create separate tickets.
I will be squeezing the KDE, Upgrade and Virt in one and the rest in another.
The Pagure tickets are to help the editors keep track of what needs to be published when. Since the Test Days articles are always approved content and since they are small and need very little editing (and they tend to be published almost immediately), maybe the Pagure tickets are superfluous for the Test Days articles.
My vote is that you no longer need to create Pitches and Pagure tickets for the Test Days articles. But Richard is really the one running the show these days, so maybe he would still prefer to have them?
I would prefer, for my own sanity, that we continue to open tickets for each article. Having approval before they are created is not necessary but having the tickets with appropriate topics and dates will help keep them in order. Also, being forewarned helps me be certain to watch for the article in WP and respond in a timely manner.
If this is problematic for you @sumantrom I might be convinced otherwise.
I will create 1 more or 2 issue , the pipeline ones are a11y, IoT and GNOME in one … if either of these slip (GNOME is pending testing builds and a11y team is about to ping back if they are okay with the dates) ; I will be make another fresh ticket.
