Pipewire/Pulseaudio: avoid automatic addition of network sinks

Hi there

I just noticed that my Fedora 43 adds some network audio sinks automatically. While it would be fun to try whether I can really stream audio to my colleagues’ MacBooks (on the same LAN segment), I’m surprised that those sinks get added automatically - I could even send audio there by mistake.

My pipewire/pulseaudio setup is “Fedora Workstation standard” as far as I know. As per pactl, it’s the module libpipewire-module-raop-sink which connects those sinks. Is my Avahi/zeroconf borked? Has something changed in F43? Should I choose a different firewall zone? It’s an F43 which went through several upgrades rather than fresh installs, so maybe I failed to pick up a firewall change?

To quote a famous austrian: “I couldn’t resist!”

Turns out that when I try to play a stream into one of those sinks, the sink disappears from the list of devices.

Still: How did they get there?
