Pipewire packages usefulness

Fedora 29 has pipewire packages (pipewire, pipewire-doc, pipewire-libs, pipewire-utils), it even loads a libpipewire-module-flatpak from the /etc/pipewire/pipewire.conf config file. Looks good, but … what are they for??
Is there any hint on how they should be used and configured ?
I could not find relevant documentation: https://github.com/PipeWire/pipewire/issues/9

Currently Jack Audio is NOT supported in FlatPack and I would like to try out Pipewire existing packages, but have no idea how to do that Add support for JACK applications · Issue #1509 · flatpak/flatpak · GitHub
