Maybe I’m missing something, but I just built the v1.1.3 tag from source with zig 0.13 (the docs also state that zig 0.14 is only required for v1.1.3+).
Edit: The v1.1.3 tag fixes a lot of bugs on F42/Gnome48, so if building against the older zig is possible, that would be pretty nice 
as there currently seems to be no movement on zig 0.14 PR
