Pbp not working properly in f43; worked in f42

My monitor is a Samsung U28E590D; I have been using it with both a personal Fedora 43 PC and a work W11 laptop; using the PBP (picture-by-picture) feature, I got the Fedora screen on the left and the Windows screen on the right.

Under F42, both virtual displays automagically used all the available space; both at 1920 x 2160 (the full resolution is 3840 x 2160).

After updating to F43, I get only 1920 x 1080 for the Linux screen; I still get 1920 x 2160 for the Windows screen.

How do I convince F43 to give me 1920 x 2160 for the Fedora portion of my monitor?

Thanks!

Thanks!

But it looks like I’m out of luck. The /usr/share/ddccontrol-db/monitor/SAM\* files do not seem to include my monitor.

I’m looking at ddcutil, but the documentation isn’t very friendly to noobies – and I’ve only rarely had to fiddle with rules.
