Output after using dnf upgrade

Having note after using dnf upgrade:
Scriptlet output:

Failed to set unit properties on grub-boot-success.timer: Transport endpoint is not connected

Scriptlet output:

Failed to start jobs: Transport endpoint is not connected

Scriptlet output:

Failed to connect to user scope bus via machine transport: Broken pipe
What does this indicate is wrong?

My guess would be that DBUS is either not installed or not running. Do you see something similar to the following?:

$ systemctl list-units dbus*
  UNIT                LOAD   ACTIVE SUB     DESCRIPTION                    
  dbus-broker.service loaded active running D-Bus System Message Bus       
  dbus.socket         loaded active running D-Bus System Message Bus Socket

What does

systemctl status dbus-broker.service --no-pager

return?
