With Rufus, I’ve tried making the media with both ISO and DD methods and get the same result.(Fedora 44)
I’ve tried Fedora’s media writer and had no luck
There was only one temporary way to bypass it: use rmmod tpm in the command before the boot menu, and even that was sketchy, but i still managed to install the os but; this error always shows up after the GRUB menu
(My BIOS does not have a feature to enable CSM, nor does it have Intel SGX)
Also i have already tried it with secure boot disabled
My system:
asus tuf f16 FX608JH CPU: Intel i5 13450HX RAM: 16 GB GPU: RTX 5050 (8 GB) BIOS Version/Date: American Megatrends International, LLC. FX608JH.312, 07-05-2026
Long story short, the older Fedora version and then the upgrade worked
TLDR;
ok so I tried every god damm thing I could, but nothing worked. Also, I used a standard iso file from the official website for KDE and Gnome; I also tried Fedora KDE 43, but that also did not work
But as you said, as a last resort, I installed Fedora 40, and it worked like a charm. Then, painfully upgraded to 44 one version at a time, since skipping a version is dangerous, from what I heard, and now it is working correctly
I hope devs fix this problem because this was a horrendous experience, to say the least.
And thank you for the suggestions; without that, my Linux journey would have ended before it even began
Glad you were able to install Fedora with the “workaround”. It would, however, be good to have a real solution, probably a BIOS upgrade. You could try reporting the issue to ASUS. You could also create a probe on the LHDB and add a note about the issue. This could help others as well as increasing the visibility of the issue, which could encourage ASUS to work on it.
