been trying to update past 2 hours this package from terminal and Gnome software and it always fails terminal shows error

Try using the flatpak command from the command line
flatpak upgrade or flatpak update (they are equivalent commands)

It seems you are only getting a partial download of the file and that is a problem of the internet or the server and not local (unless your internet connections is flaky).

Was trying on both gnome center and terminal using Flatpak update and fails.

After trying several hours I finally got it updated download took 2 hours it hit server timeout reached couple of times in the process too guess Flatpaks don’t have mirrors to use or am I wrong I got maxed 1.4Kb/s download speed

Glad to know it finally worked.
Apparently flathub does not have a lot of mirrors so downloads may take some time.
