Occasionally outage of Bluetooth after reboot

I’m reading this:

Hci config is not installed but appears to be deprecated:

$ sudo dnf install hciconfig

I only want to restart Bluetooth which is available on usb:

$ lsusb

Bus 007 Device 008: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)

and

$ bluetoothctl

        SupportedUUIDs: 0000110a-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb

(I guess the documntation is outdated)

Yet i does not appear in kde plasma control. How do I (re)connect the paired keyboard?

I had flawless connections untill an upgrade rocked my bluetooth world. (kernel upgrade) :slight_smile:

My steps taken and I hope they work for you as well:

sudo systemctl stop bluetooth
sudo rmmod btusb
sudo modprobe btusb
sudo systemctl start bluetooth

Not sure if all that was needed but none the less it worked, but I have 2 deviices as seen here:

bluetoothctl
[NEW] Media /org/bluez/hci0
        SupportedUUIDs: 0000110a-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb
        SupportedUUIDs: 0000110b-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb
[NEW] Media /org/bluez/hci1
        SupportedUUIDs: 0000110a-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb

You may also find a hint with systemctl status bluetooth
