Nvidia updates and nvidia-open-kernel module (not NVK)

Does the nvidia rpm fusion non free come update using the discover gui or sudo dnf update? Rn it s on 580.119.02 and the latest is 580.126.09 and do I have to wait until fedoraprovides latest production branch or manually install it?

Also the 590, since it’s in the new feature branch and coming to production branch, do I have to manually install it again or will I update regularly when it’s stable in fedora? I m asking because nvidia dropped the nvidia-closed module and is only going with nvidia-open (not nouveau drivers)

RPMfusion developers test and then release newer NVIDIA drivers as they become available.

Updating is then automatic when you do an update of your system with what ever tool you wish.

But please wait 5 minutes after an update before rebooting to allow time for the new driver to be built for your kernel.
