No Sound from ALC233

Hi there!

A couple of days ago I was using my asus laptop and then I purchased a new one from different manufacturer, which uses lunar lake processor.

At first, I thought it’s fine to move my SSD from asus to the new laptop. And luckly basic hardware works well except the internal speaker.

I try to solve that problem by myself. Searching lots of guidance and posts, using .conf in /etc/modprobe.d/, configuring alsamixer but none of them work out.

I don’t know the problem comes from? Is it from Intel driver or there’s some mistakes I take?

Here are more details form my new laptop:

Are the packages alsa-firmware and / or alsa-sof-firmware installed? If not try to install them. Hopefully it will work.

Hello, Dennis! After I check and already found that I’ve installed these packages. Thus I’m trying to remove and re-install them again, reboot the system but still, the speaker can not make any sound.
Sorry to hear that.

By the way, the Sound Open Firmware support lunar lake actually:

After I update my Fedora into latest, the speaker works out.
(update the kernel to the latest at least)
