No internal display when using Wayland

As the title states, I am unable to use my internal display when booting with Wayland on my dGPU. I believe the issues is related to this:

But honestly I don’t know anymore… been plugging away at it for about 4 hours now. Below is my graphics information, but please let me know if there is something more I can provide.

  Device-1: AMD Navi 23 [Radeon RX 6650 XT / 6700S 6800S] vendor: ASUSTeK
    driver: amdgpu v: kernel arch: RDNA-2 bus-ID: 03:00.0
Device-2: AMD Rembrandt [Radeon 680M] vendor: ASUSTeK driver: amdgpu
    v: kernel arch: RDNA-2 bus-ID: 07:00.0 temp: 56.0 C
Device-3: IMC Networks USB2.0 HD UVC WebCam type: USB driver: uvcvideo
    bus-ID: 3-3:2
  Display: wayland server: X.org v: 1.20.14 with: Xwayland v: 22.1.9
compositor: kwin_wayland driver: X: loaded: amdgpu
unloaded: fbdev, modesetting, radeon, vesa dri: radeonsi gpu: amdgpu, amdgpu

If anyone can assist with this issue I would greatly appreciate it.

P.S. The shown display is an external monitor hooked up via USB-C

If you boot F38 Workstation Live image from a USB stick, does it light up your internal display correctly?

I haven’t done that yet, but I can give it a go this weekend
