No Audio KDE Plasma

Im having issues with getting audio working on Fedora. Despite following many online guides, i can only get audio working through Bluetooth. It shows “GA106 High Definition Audio Controller” but only list “Pro Audio”, which isn’t outputting no sound.

My Laptop Model is an HP OMEN Gaming Laptop 16-k0023dx

when i use the command “Lspci -k” this is what pops up if this helps.

The output of inxi -Fzxx would also be of use as well as a description of exactly what you are trying and what the results are.

Are you trying to use audio with the attached monitor?
is this a laptop and internal speakers are not working?
are you attaching to external speakers and they are not working?
how are you attached to the speakers that do not work?
etc.

All those details are very important before we can even begin to understand the issue.

The only details you provide are
bluetooth and “GA106 High Definition Audio Controller”.
The second is the audio chipset on the nvidia GPU and would only provide sound via the attached monitor.

Im having issues with my laptops audio. its not playing sound through external speakers or the aux jack, but works fine with Bluetooth Devices like Headphones.

Ive seen suggestions about “Sound Open Firmware” and potential issues having two audio drivers.

i would say this is interesting but odd because it shows the Intel High Definition Audio Controller driver instead of an Nvidia driver.

This means the issue is with the built in sound system
This is the device that handles the internal sound (headphones and wired external speakers as well as internal speakers).

The nvidia audio is only for use with an attached monitor using hdmi and speakers in the monitor. It is a high definition audio and uses an intel chipset which is why the driver is snd_hda_intel. The audio signal is sent via the hdmi port.

I suspect the driver is not correct for the Alder Lake chipset, but do not have time tonight to do the research.
Someone else is likely able to assist before I return tomorrow.
