Nextcloud option to open a file locally fails

Hello,

I am running a nextcloud server and prefer to edit files locally. In Fedora 44 (and every version prior to this), the option to open a file locally fails with a message:

“Could not find a file for local editing. Make sure it isn’t excluded via selective syncronisation”

I can open files in Nextcloud using the built-in Collabora server, and I can open files directly in Libre Office or Collabora Office.

On Windows 11, the option to open locally also works without issue.

What do I need to do, to make the connection from Nextcloud to Fedora?

It works for me using the latest client build, you can test it from my Copr repo:

Thanks, but I’ve never used Copr before and I’m not sure how to install from it. Can you give me a hint?

sudo dnf copr enable vgaetera/extras -y
sudo dnf upgrade nextcloud-client -y --refresh
