Has anyone else noticed that in the last day or two, the ‘New’ button up the top on the desktop version of this site now also contains ‘latest’ posts?
If so, can we get it changed back to how it was?
It looks like that our main admim has time and is making tests/changes 
Or the Discourse people are implementing a never version …
Have a look in the settings. I guess you should be able to select an alternative theme, which might looks more as you have been used too. Alias if you are annoyed that it opens the latest view, you can just set this behavior too.

I dont like the ‘me too’ button (the me too movement was fine though!).
I dont think the me too button has a proper reporting place, and most issues here are not directly reproducable.
Unfortunately that is true. It was better when we just had to worrier about one workstation. However things change, so we have too 
It seems that we got a regular update which enabled a couple of features.

It is a per category setting and it appears only in the Ask category right now. We should be able to disable it, but maybe we should give it a try for a couple weeks before deciding? I wonder what other regulars of the Ask category think about it.
For the New and Latest I can not find a good reference for the change. I will try to search through the Discourse changelogs..
This has been rolling out over all the discuss forums over the last few days.
I think I like it now that I’ve been see and using it for a while.
Actually, from what I’ve noticed, the updated “New” category shows the new posts (so posts not accessed yet, just as before), combined with the posts previously displayed under the Unread category (so posts marked as Tracking or Watching[1]).
The previous setup (distinct New and Unread categories) was more convinient for my use case, as it allowed me to check new replies to the posts of interest first (by going to the Unread category), and only afterwards go check new posts, if time was available.
Now I don’t seem to be able to find the tracked posts with new replies anymore.
EDIT: The unread posts (i.e. tracked posts with new replies) are now to be found under the category New, subcategory Replies. Somewhat hidden, but still better than having the feature completely gone.
Watched posts could be accessed from the notification menu as well. ↩︎
