New installation without any problems

After a long break, i now back home and made a start with fedora today. And so i downloaded the 44 workstation for installation. Because i have a 1050ti nvidia card i did my research on your forum, and also with copilot.

But copilot’s answer was a message from your forum, so that worked perfectly. After 30 minutes the system was up and running without any problem.

Thank you for the good information on the forum, and the link to copilot.

What drivers do you use for the 1050Ti? Do you have two monitors setup there?

The 1050Ti requires the 580xx driver from rpmfusion. See

Actually I use nvidia driver 580.x from their website. In general it works with exception of suspend/hibernation. Previously after wake up the only issue was that all windows were moved into single display. Now wake up causes crash of Mutter and lost of GNOME user session.

I follow the commands in terminal:

sudo dnf install akmod-nvidia-580xx xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-580xx xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-580xx-cuda

sudo akmods --force
sudo dracut --force

And then sudo reboot, to check with nvidia-smi

Voila no problem at all, everything works perfectly
