New Fed43 install customizing home page shortcuts on Firefox

After doing a new Fed43 install, on a brand new SSD and then syncing Firefox between PC’s, I have less Shortcuts on the new “Home page”. See Screenshot attachment.

I have many more of these shortcuts on my “primary pc” than were transferred to the new install. I can’t find a way to add more shortcuts to the home page on the new install. There are lots of tips about using “bookmarks” etc. but that is not what I want. How can more “tiles” be added is my wish. I have allocated 2 rows in the settings for shortcuts as well as “allow in Private mode”.

Does anyone have some feedback about this NOT NECESSARILY FEDORA PROBLEM. I’ve searched Firefox but haven’t found a solution as of yet. The new install of Fed43 and the updates went pretty well, except with a slight confusion about the “Language and Keyboard” configuration, which were different. in the end, I got it to work accordingly.

Bottom of the screen, right corner - do you have a customize button? Click it.

I say this as I use Zen, which uses Firefox as the base, but I’m not sure if this is a Zen addition or comes from the base Firefox UI.

Alternatively, the Home page of Preferences contains the same settings

The Firefox Home page is not synced between devices. You can check what’s being synced in FF Settings: about:preferences#sync.

You might have only a few previously visited sites displayed on about:home since it’s a new install. The list should grow with other sites you visit.

Hi Mike, It is working now. I can’t say exactly how or why, because I tried so many things installing and removing different “ad ons / extensions” etc.

But it is showing “Add Shortcut” and I’ve been able to delete and edit as necessary.
I think we can close this subject, “without a clear solution”, however.
