New and trying something simple that does not work..... Verticle stretch on Firefox

I’m new to Linux/Fedora. I used Mint for a few weeks, but wanted to try this out. I’m new to the user end of linux, I spent years on the server side (RHEL) doing basic work installing servers, etc…

I’m on Fedora 44 KDE 6.6 just installed it yesterday. Did all the updates now I’m on kernel 7.?

This is my issue. It seems soooo stupid to be having this issue, its such a simple request…

I want to open firefox and fave it vertically maximize each time it is opened.

I used Google AI and spent several hours trying the 50+ solutions it gave me, each time telling it that it didnt work. It tried other things, they didn’t work either, I got aggrevated and gave up.

I tied the System Settings > Window Management >Windows rules multiple different ways. When I couldnt get that to work I tried using Konsole command solutions Like these:

No luck with any of that either.

So I’m asking… any ideas that might actually work?

You can use the windows rules to set the position and the size of the firefox window.
I do this for my main apps and it works well.
